Next, we need to communicate these human values to a silicon-based entity that doesn’t share human evolution, mind-architecture, or context. When humans coordinate with other humans, we can rely on plenty of shared implicit background knowledge since we share our species’ biology, evolutionary history, and often even some cultural context. With AI, we cannot rely on such a common context.
